Wedding Celebrations at Swinton Park

The Celebrations

Where an exclusive use wedding has been booked, the restaurant Samuel’s is closed to the public. The restaurant can seat 90 comfortably, and there is also the adjoining private dining room, which can seat a further 20.

Non exclusive wedding parties have the option of the private dining room (seating up to 20), or the library which can seat 70 guests.

For a larger wedding party we would need to erect a marquee for which there would be an extra charge. The most suitable site for this would be on the gravelled area adjacent to the Library which is connected via a French window.

Drinks receptions are often held in the impressive and spacious Lower Hall, or (for an exclusive use wedding only) in the Drawing Room which is lavishly furnished with antiques and family portraits. On a fine day, the gardens are also a very attractive with outdoor seating and a croquet lawn.

In the case of an exclusive use wedding, the rooms most suitable for dancing and music are the Library or Lower Hall, where a bar can also be set up.

Further details of the room layout and images of the reception and dining rooms can be found on the public rooms page of the hotel website. You can also download our Banqueting Menu at the link given below, please note that we can now offer sushi as a canape, served either to order from a Sushi Bar or as part of normal service. Please ask us for further details.

Thank goodness the sun has now come out and we seem to have finally put winter behind us! The Parkland has burst into bloom with clouds of blossom and a colourful carpet of daffodils and bluebells around the trees.

The Walled Garden is also getting going, with bright tulips swaying in the breeze and home grown asparagus bursting forth. Asparagus is at its most delicious when eaten closest to home, so dishes featuring home-grown asparagus are now on all our menus, including the bar and lounge. The garden furniture is out and soon it will be time for afternoon teas on the lawn and evening drinks on the terrace at sunset. English summertime at it’s best.
