The Swinton Foundation and New Light
The Swinton Foundation is a charitable trust that supports artists, entrepreneurs and communities in the Yorkshire Dales and surrounding area, helping regenerate the rural landscape and with the Swinton Estate providing a base as a catalyst for further enterprise and development.
Current initiatives include supporting New Light , a charity formed in 2010 to promote and support emerging contemporary artists in the North of England.
The Swinton Foundation supports New Light with the Swinton Foundation Prize, giving the winner their own exhibition at Swinton Park in the new bar exhibition gallery space.
A fundraising exhibition showcasing some of the North’s most respected and contemporary artists will take place at Swinton Park from 18th June to 16th August 2015 (open Sunday to Friday, excl. 23rd July, free of charge). Arranged by New Lights, the exhibition features works on display and for sale by artists including Sarah Harris, Ed Kluz, Emerson Mayes, James Naughton, Genevieve Pennington and Alan Stones.
For invitations to the Private View on Thursday 18th June, 6.30pm – 9pm, please contact email@example.com. Musical entertainment will be provided during the evening by opera singer Ione Cummings and wine and canapes will be served.
Private View Dinner Menu
Swinton Park are taking reservations for a two-course Private View dinner menu in Samuel’s Restaurant on Thursday, 18th June for bookings between 8.30pm and 9.30pm. Please call the Swinton Park Events Team on 01765-680900 to make a dinner reservation.
Once you have made your reservation, please pre-order from the menu below, at least one week prior to the event, emailing your choices to: Events@swintonpark.com

Book Now… for our wonderful events later this year. Live like a Lord and Lady at our Downton at Swinton weekend, or indulge in an extravaganza of fine food and wine at our Gourmet Weekends. We also have just a few rooms still available for our Christmas and New Year house parties.
Looking Ahead… Work has commenced on our Country Club and Spa, which will include an indoor swimming pool with full spa and fitness facilities, as well as a 40-seat conservatory restaurant, coffee shop and Swinton Estate shop. Please see our press release for more information.
