|Business booming as hotel expands|
|Date: 29th May 2002|
Swinton Park is looking ahead to a bright future as it embarks on its second phase of refurbishment works, with the addition of 10 extra bedrooms in the North Wing bringing the total up to 30.
The 4 star luxury castle hotel only opened in March last year, but business has grown from strength to strength with an established reputation for excellent food and levels of service. This year their AA rating has increased to 79% 4 stars and 2 rosettes, which puts them in league with the finest hotels in the country.
The extra 10 bedrooms are all individually furnished, to the same levels of comfort as the existing rooms. Each room is themed on a Yorkshire town, so look out for the bath in the beach tent in Scarborough, and the bed in Headingley which is the wicket!! All of the rooms are in the North Wing, which means that the hotel can continue to operate without any inconvenience or disturbance from the works.
“Despite the set backs of last year, we are confident that Swinton Park is well on track and we are delighted by the levels of bookings we are taking for this year and into the future. The completion of the second phase of works (by the end of August) will be a significant milestone for us, and will enable us to be more flexible with bookings both for larger groups and individuals”, commented proprietor Mark Cunliffe-Lister.
