Swinton Park has been awarded the Green Business Award 2009 at the Yorkshire Rural Awards, held on 14th May at a gala dinner in Harrogate. The awards were presented by BBC Look North presenter Harry Gration, and the award sponsored by Yorkshire Forward. The hotel was recognised for its commitment to reducing its carbon emissions and investing in environmentally friendly technology.
