Swinton Park Contemporary Art Exhibition, 5th - 24th April 2009

In a new joint venture, Swinton Park, the luxury castle hotel near Masham, and the art gallery Hornseys’ of Ripon will be holding an exhibition of contemporary art by established and emerging Yorkshire-based artists.
This will be held at Swinton Park, from April 5th to April 24th 2009. The artists will include Emerson Mayes, winner of the ‘Young Artist of the Year’ award for 2005, Ed Kluz, a painter and printmaker with a rapidly-growing reputation, Philip Vaughan, a photographer who uses traditional techniques and processes, Richard Snowden, a well-established artist who has exhibited both nationally and internationally, Michael Bilton, a former graduate of the Royal College of Art, with a well-established reputation and Mary Ramsden, a recent graduate of the Edinburgh College of Art whose work at the Swinton Contemporary 2009 Exhibition will follow her exhibition at the Royal Scottish Academy in February.
The exhibition will provide a show-case of the finest and most innovative artists from the Yorkshire region, each of whom already enjoy a national following, and it is planned to be an annual event.
All paintings on display will be for sale, entry to the exhibition will be free.
