| Andrew
McPherson, General Manager at Skibo Castle in the Scottish Highlands,
is joining Swinton Park this month to head up a team of over 70 staff.
The luxury castle hotel in the Yorkshire Dales, with 4 AA Red Stars
and 3 Rosettes, is now the highest rated hotel in Yorkshire and Cumbria.
Owners, Mark and Felicity Cunliffe-Lister, opened the hotel four years
ago after a major refurbishment, having first bought back the ancestral
home which had been sold in the 1970’s.
Skibo Castle hit the headlines when it hosted Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s wedding in December 2000, and is part of the private member Carnegie Club, owned until recently by Peter de Savary. Andrew’s focus will be on client care and front of house operations, which he will be streamlining and upgrading, the launch of the hotel’s spa and treatment rooms, and also consolidating existing partnerships with local food suppliers and guest facilities on the surrounding family estate. "Joining Swinton Park is a great opportunity for me, and I
am looking forward to joining an excellent team and moving down
to such a beautiful part of the country”, commented Andrew. |
