Here at Swinton Park we offer a range of picnicing options, so if you are heading off for the day and want a packed lunch making up, or if you want something more substantial, we have something for everyone. Please order your picnics with reception or the lounge waiter. We do need 24 hours notice for a hamper or moorland bothy picnic. Picnics are only available to hotel residents.
Packed Lunch for the more active
£10 per person
Our packed lunch contains a selection of freshly cut sandwiches, kettle
chips, fruitcake, Yorkshire cheese, cherry slice, a selection of fruit
and shortbread. We also include orange juice and bottled water.
Swinton Deluxe Hamper for those wanting a more relaxed affair!
£20 per person
Our deluxe hamper contains Yorkshire Ham with Walled Garden Chutney, Smoked
Salmon and fresh lemon, homemade breads, pates and terrines, Yorkshire
cheeses, fresh scones with clotted cream and local strawberry jam, fruit
cake and olives. We also provide you with orange juice, bottled water
and a half bottle of champagne.
Moorland Bothy Picnic the ultimate experience
£25 per person plus £25 bothy hire charge
There is a stone-built Shooting Bothy on the moors for those wanting to
enjoy some shelter with great views in the summer and a blazing fire in
the winter. Along with all the food provided in our Deluxe Hamper we supply
hot soup and tea & coffee. Your picnic is laid out for you at 1.30pm and
collected after you have finished, leaving you un-encumbered to enjoy
your walking.
