Lunch is served on a Saturday in Samuel’s restaurant. Vegetarian options are always available. (Weekday bookings are available for parties of 8 or more, subject to availability. Please contact our Events team for menus and further information on 01765 680971.)

For those guests staying at the hotel on a dinner, bed and breakfast package, the Classic Menu is included in the room rate. Dishes are changed each day to add variety for those guests staying two nights or more. Our Garden Produce menu is available for vegetarian guests.

Cheese Menu

Ribblesdale sheep milk
Hawes, North Yorkshire.
A slightly tangy traditional hard cheese with a natural rind. Matured for twelve months and finished for autumn. Served with a white wine jelly.

Lincolnshire poacher
Claxby, North Yorkshire.
A hard cheddar that varies in flavour from rich and sweet in spring and summer to savoury and meaty in autumn and winter. Aged for between fourteen and sixteen months. Served with a fig and Port chutney.

Blue stone
Cottingham, East Yorkshire
A semi soft, blue veined goats’ cheese. Made in batches of twenty-six. A true gem of a find. Served with a quince jelly

Swaledale blue
Richmond, North Yorkshire.
A blue cheese with nutty flavour, moist in texture. Served with honeycomb

Don’t Miss… the amazing Druid’s Temple on the Swinton Estate, as featured on BBC’s Secret Britain, which showcased the wonderful scenery of North Yorkshire. The Druid’s Temple is located in the woods next to Swinton Bivouac, our luxury ‘glamping’ site where you can also enjoy coffee, light meals and events at the cafe bistro.
