Our cookery school runs a programme of one and two day courses which include themes such as Dinner Parties and Modern British, masterclasses in meat and garden produce, and Family Food and Children's Cookery. Partners are always welcome to join guests on a course for lunch or dinner, so you won't miss out on the results!
Another gift idea for any keen horticulturalist, or someone with an appreciation of landscape design, would be a voucher for one of our Garden Lunches. Susan Cunliffe-Lister, Country Life Gardener of the Year 2001, has pioneered the restoration of the parkland and lakes and the four acre walled garden. She hosts each lunch, which is followed by a talk about the design and planting scheme and a tour of the grounds. She also runs Garden Design Days for those wanting a more extensive experience, covering the theory and practise of planning, planting, cultivating and harvesting your own produce.
