Roadworks Alert – From 28th July for 4 weeks

The B6267 is closed between A1 and the Kirklington turning, preventing direct access to Masham and Swinton Park from the A1. There is a diversion in place, but this is rather lengthy. We would recommend instead that you take one of the following routes:

From the South:
Leave the A1 at junction 50. Take the A61 to Ripon and then the A6108, following signs to Masham.

From the North:
Leave the A1 at junction 51. Take the A684 to Bedale and then the A628, following signs for Masham, rejoining the B6267 below the roadworks.

Once you go over the bridge into Masham, please pick up the remaining directions below. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Directions from the A1

Please note that the A1(M) has been extensively upgraded and the Northbound B6267 junction off the A1 has been permanently CLOSED. There are many navigation systems which have not yet been updated to reflect this, which can add half an hour to your journey if travelling from the South. This can be avoided if you follow the directions given below :

The Kitchen Gossip

It’s lovely to see new season’s ingredients coming in, heralding the delights of the year to come. As well as Yorkshire rhubarb, the wild garlic is now in season and it wont be too long before new season’s lamb is available. Click Rhubarb to find my favourite spring recipe, which is very versatile and easy to make at home.

2014 has got off to a flying start with busy classes right across the schedule. Our Thursday Cookery Club Mornings and Supper Evenings have been very well received and our Barbecue Cook and Lunch courses get going over the Easter weekend.
