If you haven’t cooked much before, this course will teach you the basic culinary techniques that will enable you to prepare a range of simple, delicious dishes and seasonal variations.

Dishes covered in this course typically include:

Seasonal Soup
Spaghetti Bolognaise
Curry and Flat Bread

Cooking a piece of Fish
Roast Chicken and Vegetables
Seasonal Fruit Crumble

Techniques included are:

  • Knife skills
  • Vegetable preparation
  • Cooking with eggs
  • How to roast
  • Cooking with mince
  • Basic fish preparation and cookery
  • Use of spices and herbs
  • Key food hygiene and safe storage guidelines
