Financial Controller

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to undertake all aspects of financial management at the hotel. The hotel sits at the heart of the 20,000 acre estate. You will need to be competent in corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development and management of internal control policies and procedures.

Main responsibilities

  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, Sales Ledger, PO controls
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Prepare timely monthly financial statements for the owners, directors and management team
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with statutory legislation such as Data Protection and PCI compliance
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

You will also promote effective communication within the department by being receptive to issues communicated to you and to ensure that you pass on all relevant communications from colleagues or guests to the appropriate person.

 

Wedding & Events Coordinator

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, determined and enthusiastic Wedding & Events Co-ordinator to join the team at Swinton Park.

The successful applicant will need to be an established well qualified individual who has previous experience in a similar role working to exceptional standards, with great attention to detail and a genuine enthusiasm for customer satisfaction.

You will be responsible for taking, co-ordinating and communicating bookings for all weddings (exclusive and non-exclusive), banqueting and events ensuring all clients are consistently dealt with in a professional, courteous and timely manner.

Starting salary is £16,000

Human Resources Coordinator

We’re looking for a friendly and passionate HR Coordinator to join our People team at a time of organisational development and change. You’ll look forward to working within a small close-knit team, but also assisting in other areas of the business when required to ensure that you have a full knowledge of how all areas operate and giving you the confidence and enthusiasm to get stuck in wherever needed.

You’ll assist with all generalist HR administration, and play a vital role in making sure we give our candidates a great recruitment and new starter experience in a consistent and professional manner.

On the recruitment side, your juggling skills will be put to the test. You’ll coordinate job descriptions, run advertising campaigns, organise interviews/assessments, CV sift, and collect and deliver feedback to candidates where necessary. You’ll also help with creating and maintaining our employer brand presence.

Spa Therapist

With our extensive new Country Club and Spa facility opening in spring 2017, there has never been a better time to join the spa team at Swinton Park. We are currently looking to recruit 3 new spa therapists who want to be part of this exciting new project and keen to train with top spa brands Elemis and Spiezia. Currently working out of our existing treatment suite within the hotel, the team are looking after existing clients whilst developing and training in innovative treatment protocols and spa experiences.

Starting salary for F\T level 3 therapist, £16k with generous benefits package including: commission, staff lunches, uniforms, training and career progression plan.

Head Bartender

We are looking for an individual with great communication skills and cocktail making knowledge to join our Food & Beverage team as Head Bartender. Do you have ambition, charisma and a desire to deliver excellence with a positive can do attitude?

This dynamic position includes managing the bar team, creating new and season drinks, bar and service training, maintaining a strong front of house presents, whilst working closely with the kitchen team and the Food and Beverage manager. Our bespoke cocktail list and walled garden will inspire you to produce the highest standard of cocktails from Swinton’s ingredients.

We are currently recruiting for a Full-time Housekeeping Supervisor to join our Housekeeping team at Swinton Park. The successful applicant will have impeccable standards and an eye for detail that will assist you in carrying out your duties to the 5 star standard. Duties include the servicing and preparation of guest bedrooms, public area housekeeping and some turndown duties early evening. You will be required in the absence of the housekeeping manager to coordinate the team of room attendants and allocate jobs effectively, inspect bedrooms ready for guest arrival and other aspects of supervising a team.

We are recruiting for a Full-Time Laundry Assistant to join our excellent Housekeeping team, here at Swinton Park. The main duties include laundering all hotel whites to support the Housekeeping team, quick turn over of laundry, operation of laundry machines and a high standard of cleaning. Spa Reservations Coordinator

With our extensive new Country Club and Spa facility opening in spring 2017, there has never been a better time to join Swinton Park.

As Spa Reservations Coordinator you will co-ordinate and manage an effective and seamless reservations and guest contact service. Coordinating bookings for the Country Club and Spa including from Brasserie dining, spa treatments, pool use, wellbeing classes and private functions to wider Estate activities such as the Samuel restaurant and cookery school.

Your priority focus is to ensuring all clients are consistently dealt with in a professional, courteous and timely manner. You will maximise revenue opportunities through conversion of inbound enquires, via phone, email and in person. You will be responsible for ensuring service standard are achieved consistently and targets are met.

Salary starting at £17,000

 

Reservations Coordinator

We are looking for an enthusiastic Reservationist to join our expanding sales team at Swinton Park.

As Reservations Co-ordinator you will co-ordinate and communicate bookings for Hotel & Bivouac accommodation including all add-ons such as dining, spa, cookery school and additional estate activities, ensuring all clients are consistently dealt with in a professional, courteous and timely manner. To assist with all aspects of administration across the Sales & Marketing department ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the office.

Training Officer

Leisure Manager

With our extensive new Country Club and Spa facility opening in spring 2017, there has never been a better time to join Swinton Park.

You will be responsible for the operational delivery, membership set-up and sales, wellbeing and fitness offer and front of house standards of service for the new Country Club and Spa. Reporting to the Estate General Manager, direct reports include: gym instructors, personal trainers, membership sales and reception team, poolside attendants, freelance exercise instructors and contracted wellbeing specialists as required. Working closely with the Spa Manager to deliver exceptional spa day and treatment experiences and as part of a senior management team delivering the highest level of guest experience and commercial performance across the estate.

Main responsibilities

  • Responsible for membership pre-opening and on-going sales drive, delivering member retention and engagement
  • Defines and drives membership sales strategies and conducts membership tours for a positive sales outcome
  • Responsible for producing monthly member usage reports
  • Produces annual cost budget and manages all departmental outgoings
  • Be a constant presence throughout the spa, gym and studio taking regular walk rounds and ensuring interaction with guests and members demonstrating the highest level of customer care
