Positions will require shift work (some including split shifts) as scheduled by rota including weekends, evenings and public holidays. You will need your own transport due to our location.

Front of House Manager

Reporting to the General Manager, as Front of House Manager you’ll have overall responsibility for the hotel Front of House operation incorporating the Bivouac reception (luxury camping destination on the Swinton estate). You will be committed to delivering exceptional service standards, working with great attention to detail ensuring the front of house team are consistently working to 4 Red-Star standards.

In addition to regular duty management, the Front of House Manager will be responsible for:

  • Fully responsible for the hotel’s front desk and porters
  • Ensuring exceptional service levels at all times
  • Co-ordination of guest feedback
  • Staff training and recruitment
  • Staff rotas
  • Fully responsible for the Bivouac front desk

Head Receptionist

Reporting to the Front of House Manager you’ll have overall responsibility for the hotel Front of House operation. You will be committed to delivering exceptional service standards, working with great attention to detail ensuring the front of house team are consistently working to 4 Red-Star standards.

In addition to regular team management, the Head Receptionist will be responsible for:

  • Fully responsible for the hotel’s front desk and porters

Guest Service Agent

Reporting to the Head Receptionist, you will be responsible for maximising sales and ensuring our guests have a unique and individualised experience. Being a Service professional, you will live the service process in every quest and visitor interaction, recognising guest’s needs in order to give them a first class service.

This position is full time, including evening and weekend work.

Receptionist

Due to an internal move, we have an exciting opportunity for a Hotel Receptionist to join our friendly reception team. The successful candidate will ensure all guests are greeted in a friendly and professional manner whilst providing exceptional levels of customer care in all duties. Benefits include meals on duty, discounts on hotel services and facilities, together with a uniform provided where required.

This position is full time, including evening and weekend work.

Food & Beverage Assistants

Working within a variety of dining outlets across the Swinton Estate, you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of service to all our guests dining for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, ensuring a flawless experience.

Marketing Assistant

Working under the Marketing Manager you will support with daily marketing activities and administration for Swinton Park, Swinton Bivouac and the wider Swinton Estate.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of social media for business, be creative and have an eye for detail. Previous marketing experience an advantage.

Both full time and part time positions will be considered.

Sales and Events Executive

The sales and events executive will be responsible for generating new business leads and enquiries for Swinton Park and the wider Estate. The role is focussed on the corporate market and will involve some telesales, face to face client appointments, site visits and handling enquiries. The ideal person must be confident in managing the events team in the absence of the Events Manager.

Previous events experience essential and would suit a conference
co-ordinator looking to take their first step into a pro-active role.

Both full time and part time positions will be considered.

Events Assistant

We are looking for an Events Assistant to join our busy sales office. The role will involve handling incoming event and wedding enquiries, conducting site visits and co-ordinating the event, with a focus on converting business for Swinton Bivouac. Previous experience preferred.

Maintenance Assistant

Experienced multi skilled Maintenance Operative

You must have good electrical, plumbing & carpentry experience, Experience working within a hotel or similar accommodation would be an advantage.

  • Offering assistance to customers with minor problems, e.g. lighting fires, water heaters etc.
  • Ensuring the Health and Safety of all guests on park.
  • Responding to maintenance issues/repairs in a timely manner.
  • Checking routinely unoccupied Holiday Homes to ensure they are maintained,
  • Carrying out Holiday Home repairs within the allocated time and to the highest of standard

Porter

Our Porters will ensure all guests are greeted in a friendly and professional manner whilst assisting in a range of duties across the Hotel and Swinton Estate. Benefits include meals on duty, discounts on hotel services and facilities, together with a uniform provided where required.

This position is on a casual contract with hours to suit the demands of the business with some evening and weekend work.

Room Attendant

We require a hardworking individual with superb attention to detail to join our friendly housekeeping team. Ensuring immaculate standards of cleanliness within the hotel public areas and guest bedrooms, you must take great pride in your work.

This is a part time role, where you will be expected to work evenings and weekends.

Bivouac General Assistant

We have a picturesque spot on the Swinton Estate which is one of the most beautiful settings in the Yorkshire Dales. The 20,000 acre Swinton Estate stretches from the River Ure and charming market town of Masham in Wensleydale up to the moorland dales and the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Our woodland is spread over the hilltop and is not only home to our gorgeous rustic Shacks, built using traditional round wood timber framing techniques, but also Druid’s Temple, a local historical site and impressive folly constructed during the late 1800s. As you stroll round the woodland there is a plethora of breath taking views looking out over the moorland and valley below. Bivouac opened in 2012, this luxury Glamping Site has a Bistro Café and a retail outlet with six woodland shacks, eight meadow yurts and a cosy bunk barn.

A superb opportunity has arisen for a Part time General Assistant to join the friendly team at the Bivouacs’ Luxury Camping destination.

The role is part time and would involve evening and weekend work.
