This is an event where we bring together an extravaganza of wine and fine cuisine, combining the skills of our award winning restaurant kitchen and cookery school. The event includes wine tastings, meeting local food producers, cookery demonstrations and even a gourmet treasure hunt. The two and one day weekend events include five course gourmet dinner, accommodation and breakfast, and wine at dinner.
On arrival you will enjoy a full afternoon tea, allowing time to unwind and relax after the journey in the cosy and welcoming Sitting Room or sumptuous Drawing Room. The evenings start with a wine tasting, with four wines to taste from a chosen theme, and then a pre-dinner glass of bubbly. Dinner is then served, with a five course Gourmet Dinner with wine on the Saturday night of a two night weekend and the Friday night of a one night weekend.
The Saturday schedule of tastings and demonstrations in the cookery school allows enough time for the Gourmet Treasure Hunt mid-afternoon and full afternoon tea. On the morning of departure, guests are also able to join the Estate Ranger for a Landrover tour to see the fallow deer herd in the deer park, and departing guests are also given a Foodie Gift to take home with them.

Thank goodness the sun has now come out and we seem to have finally put winter behind us! The Parkland has burst into bloom with clouds of blossom and a colourful carpet of daffodils and bluebells around the trees.
The Walled Garden is also getting going, with bright tulips swaying in the breeze and home grown asparagus bursting forth. Asparagus is at its most delicious when eaten closest to home, so dishes featuring home-grown asparagus are now on all our menus, including the bar and lounge. The garden furniture is out and soon it will be time for afternoon teas on the lawn and evening drinks on the terrace at sunset. English summertime at it’s best.
