Arrive at Swinton Park on Christmas Eve, where the warmest welcome awaits you, your family and friends.

The house party starts with a traditional afternoon tea served in the elegant drawing room and snug sitting room, with a pianist playing during the afternoon. The evening will begin with canapés and champagne whilst enjoying the local choir singing your favourite carols, followed by dinner in Samuel’s Restaurant.

Then join with fellow guests attending a local church service – transport will be on hand. On your return, hot chocolate will be served to warm you on your way to bed.

On Christmas day, Santa will be waiting to wish you a Merry Christmas and hand out gifts from under the tree. During the morning you can feel free to enjoy a stroll to the lakes and gardens in the parkland, or just relax and soak up the atmosphere.

Christmas lunch is served in Samuel’s Restaurant offering a traditional Christmas menu. After lunch, a blockbuster movie in the private cinema, board games in the Billiards Room or just relax in front of a roaring log fire. In the evening, our chefs will present a beautiful buffet, featuring the finest local produce.

After breakfast on Boxing Day, we will be happy to assist you to plan your day’s activities. Perhaps a day at Wetherby races, the Dales treasure hunt, sale shopping in Leeds, Harrogate or York, Panto at the Georgian Theatre in Richmond, clay pigeon shooting at the school or simply joining David our Head Porter for a walk to Masham and back, or simply relaxing in the spa. A falconry display is also held in the grounds in the afternoon for you to enjoy.

The party continues in the evening with Champagne cocktails served in the Drawing Room to the sounds of our pianist, followed by a black tie dinner in Samuel’s accompanied with wines from around the world. You can then try your luck at our casino.

On the morning of Saturday 27th a late leisurely breakfast is served before saying our goodbyes. We kindly ask all guests to vacate their rooms by 11.00am.

Rates for children sharing a room with two adults, including all meals within the package and use of a cot and high chair or z bed are: under 3 years no charge; 4 – 9 years £300 per child; 10 – 17 years £450 per child. Evening meals for children will be a choice from the children’s menu.

If you would like to bring a dog with you, the rate is £25 per dog per night.

All rates include dinner, overnight accommodation and breakfast for all three nights, as well as the meals and drinks detailed above.

Additional Nights

If you would like to stay an additional night before or after the Christmas break, rates for Bed and Breakfast range from £150 – £340 and for Dinner, Bed and Breakfast from £235 – £415. Rates are per room, per night based on two guests sharing – additional nights are subject to availability.

A provisional booking will be held for fourteen days, at which point a non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the reservation. A £500.00 per room deposit is required against single occupancy bookings and a £750.00 per room deposit against double occupancy bookings. The full balance is required by the 1st of October 2014. For bookings made after 1st October 2014 full payment is required at the time of booking.

Fully decorated Christmas Trees (decorations are yours to take home) are available to enjoy in your bedroom: Small trees are £60 and Large trees £70. Please order your tree by 1st November 2014.

Arrive at Swinton Park on 30th December, where the warmest welcome awaits you, your family and friends.

Settle in with traditional full afternoon tea served in front of a roaring log fire in the elegant drawing room and snug sitting room, with a pianist to accompany you. Dinner will be served in Samuel’s Restaurant from an imaginative menu offering a selection of dishes prepared with the finest local ingredients.

The 31st December offers you the chance to enjoy a selection of activities around Swinton Park of which clay pigeon shooting is included in the package, or choose from a walk in the parkland, a selection of board games and snooker available in the Billiards Room. Or why not pamper yourself in the spa ready for the evening’s celebrations?

The black tie party begins with a pianist playing during the Champagne and canapé reception, followed by a gourmet dinner in Samuel’s Restaurant, offering the finest local produce, accompanied by fine wines. Fireworks then follow and our after dinner entertainment will see you into the New Year and on to the small hours.

New Year’s Day is a day to relax. A brunch will be served until 1.00 pm and the afternoon is spent at your leisure; perhaps a day at races, the dales treasure hunt, sale shopping in Leeds, Harrogate or York or simply joining David our Head Porter for a walk to Masham and back. For those feeling a little under the weather, your hosts will have a range of tonics and potions to help! A falconry display is also held in the grounds in the afternoon for you to enjoy. Cream tea will also be served, later in the afternoon.

Later that evening, our chefs will present a beautiful buffet, featuring the finest local produce. On the morning of the 2nd a late leisurely breakfast is served before saying our goodbyes. We kindly ask that all guests vacate their rooms by 11.00am.

One of our favourite events of the year, run at Swinton Bivouac, our glamping site and café/restaurant on the Swinton Estate, just two miles from Swinton Park.

Festive Woodland Trail

Saturday 13th December 2014 – 4th January 2015, excl Christmas Day

There will be a ‘Twelve Days of Christmas‘ festive trail through the woods around Druids Temple from Saturday 13th December to Sunday 4th January 2015 excluding Christmas Day. It can be muddy, so bring your wellies! Christmas gifts will be on sale in the shop and the cafe will be open as usual.

Festive Trail: £4 per child including a Christmas goody bag (adults free)

 

Festive Woodland Trail & Santa’s Grotto

Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st December 2014

Santa will also visit the Bivouac on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd December, with his own Grotto. The ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’ woodland trail will be open as above, with festive food on sale in the cafe all day. Book your slot or just turn up.

A Swinton Park gift voucher can be purchased for a whole variety of experiences in the hotel, restaurant, cookery school, spa and birds of prey centre, as well as for the numerous events run throughout the year and activities on the Swinton Estate.

Our on-line shop can process voucher purchases as gifts for friends and family, and also as bookings for guests to attend specific events such as garden lunches or places on cookery school courses.

Gift vouchers may also be purchased for a monetary value, rather than a specific activity, enabling the recipient to redeem their gift as they choose.

Please note that vouchers that are purchased at a value of £50 or more will be delivered in a presentation gift box (also available for vouchers of a lower value at a supplemental charge).
