The range of activities available to guests at Swinton Park is enviable – with 200 acres of parkland surrounding the hotel and the 20,000 acre Swinton Estate there is almost everything one could imagine. From falconry to golf and fishing to kite flying, there are activities on offer for families, nature lovers and those who want to experience the great outdoors.
Don’t forget there is also the Cookery School if you are looking for an alternative activity, and also our wide range of Hotel Events (both in the hotel and in the grounds) running throughout the year.
Please note that if you are a non-resident at the hotel and you are planning on visiting us to enjoy the activities available here, you are advised to call the hotel first to ensure we are not fully booked.

Thank goodness the sun has now come out and we seem to have finally put winter behind us! The Parkland has burst into bloom with clouds of blossom and a colourful carpet of daffodils and bluebells around the trees.
The Walled Garden is also getting going, with bright tulips swaying in the breeze and home grown asparagus bursting forth. Asparagus is at its most delicious when eaten closest to home, so dishes featuring home-grown asparagus are now on all our menus, including the bar and lounge. The garden furniture is out and soon it will be time for afternoon teas on the lawn and evening drinks on the terrace at sunset. English summertime at it’s best.
